Personal Learning Networks 5.1.1 & 5.1.4

I just had a great class on Personal Learning Netwroks with Joyce Seitzinger who was a geust speaker in my class for Digital Learning Technologies. Challenges for managing all the information that the internet can provide, filtering out information, finding out the legitimacy of information found on the internet, where and how I am getting the information sent to me or finding it myself.

Technology has allowed filters for information weather it be making your own web bot and searhcing the internet through links just as google for specific sites or key words, searching google yourself or feeds into sites from places such as twitter, which allows other people to send you the information that they find interesting, so using a personal friend filter if you like.

These are all interesting ideas however it got me thinking... How am I personally managing with the bloat, the massive streams of information to narrow down what I need. Well... I realised that I am not handling this at all and didn't realise that this was something that needed to be done. Until now...

So with this new information I am logging more into my blogs, social media accoubnts and subscribing to interesting topical pages on the social media, creating feeds of information and email notifcations and filtering about things relating to new advances in technology, programming and drones. I am well interested in new technology and laws relating to dornes, however I am also interested in lots of other things as well.

I found with much research that I am able to create priority levels on my streams and filters to get this information as well. I advise that this be done. The benefits of such a thing as a Personal Learning Network or whatever you choose to call it is so valuable and needed that I am surprised it is not talked about a lot more.

I am now calling to anyone reading this blog, if you have any links on new drone research, programming techniques or even good programming tutorials, learning practices, Java is the preffered language but anything relating to software and web development is indeed what I am looking for. Help me out and become a part of my personal learning Network.
